This jacket shows a new pattern we've gotten from a very cool vintage original Rough Wear 27752. The collar design is one of the best we've seen,
and the shoulders are a little more square than other patterns we've taken from originals. We've handled a good number of 27752 originals, and there
are some fun variations. This is a result of massive contracts and tight deadlines, we believe. Some originals look a little better than others,
and this one we found is superb.

This jacket is made with a seal brown soft and very flexible cowhide. The original is almost the same color, dyed all the way through in seal brown.
The lining is a new Japanese-sourced cotton with a fantastic color and plain weave pattern. The knits are snug, and of a correct dark russet color,
from our new source.

The zipper is a reproduction Talon with a vintage Talon M-42 nickel slider. Thread is cotton in a proper olive shade.

The pocket snaps are vintage 1943-manufactured United-Carr Anzos. These are what originals were made with, so it's a fun detail
and we have plenty of these in stock.

The use of cowhide tends to cause controversy. Many think that only horsehide and goatskin was used with vintage A-2s, but documents have been found
showing cowhide was accepted in 1940 for use in A-2s, and we believe many of the large contracts after early 1941 had either a large amount, or
were entirely made with cowhide. There are a few tell-tale signs of cowhide's traits and we've opened up a good number of originals to check.
While we love the power of horses, and cows may seem timid and slow in comparison, the leather of either animal can be tanned to a very similar
final result, and both are magnificent for use in A-2 jackets.

The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest of 41" to 42", and a weight of about 180-200 pounds. The jacket is shown
with a wearer who is 6 feet tall, 175 pounds with a 41.5" chest.
