We have this return Rough Wear A-2 available. It's a slender size 44, or 42 Long, and is made with a beautiful grainy seal brown Italian horsehide. The jacket hasn't bee worn, and is currently in the United Kingdom, ready to be shipped. The fit of the jacket is typical of Rough Wear, but longer. This one didn't quite fit, but a second jacket was made.

The parts of the jacket include a superb brick colored cotton fabric and our new knits, along with vintage United-Carr Anzo pocket snaps.

Several years ago, we found what may be the only original Rough Wear 1671 A-2 seen so far. It was a tiny contract of only 300 jackets, and the one we found was made with a blackened Talon with a straight pull tab. The next two A-2 contracts (Monarch and Ostermann) had blackened Talons, and we cannot help but wonder if this small contract was a test to see if they would be good on A-2s (we don't really know why only 300 were contracted). That original can be seen here, and it's very much like the 42-1401-P A-2s Rough Wear had finished making before this small contract. The original had a new lining sewn directly above the old lining, which is why a second set of stitches is near the zipper in the leather. We bought it from the family of the veteran it was issed to.

The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest of 39.5" to 41", and a weight of about 160-180 pounds.
