This jacket was made for a customer's order. We damaged the cloth collar stand when sewing the hanger bar on, the last sewing operation on the jacket. A metal pin on a walking foot guide caught a bit of the cloth, and the material was pulled when the jacket was turned 90 degrees. It was a sad moment, and the first time this has ever happened. We've sewn a patch over the damage (photo below), and it should hold just fine for years and years to come.

This jacket is an exact representation of a size 40 original Rough Wear. The customer asked for a stock size 40, and anyone with the body dimensions below should fit this jacket well.

The Shinki horsehide on this jacket will grain up quite a bit with wear, and has a dense feel to it. Shinki is one of the foremost tanneries in the world, and only tans horsehide, using vegetable tanning. This russet finish, which is semi-aniline, is identical to the properties that original Rough Wear 23380 jackets exhibit. Our nephew is wearing the jacket in the photos, and he has a heavy sweatshirt on underneath. This is why the knits ride somewhat out in the images.

The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'7" to 5'10" with a chest of 39-40.5", and a weight of about 160-175 pounds.
