This jacket was built to test out new nylon thread that we've recently gotten. The thread is superb, and just what one would see on many of the 55J14 series of jackets. The goatskin is almost the last batch of a type that we've had since 2008, though we now stock the darker shade commonly seen on our Navy jackets on this site. The fit of the jacket is athletic—very large shoulders, and a slim lower torso. Just the same, the jacket is very comfortable. It has been worn for about five hours total.

The jacket comes with vintage mouton, from the 1940s-1950s, and nothing beats the mouton from that period. Also, the jacket has a reproduction Conmar zipper, with a vintage Conmar slider. 		« Return
