This jacket is a return for sizing. It was just a bit too small for the intended customer, and is available now in new condition.
The jacket is custom-sized with a slightly snugger waist area than vintage Donigers would be, but is otherwise extremely accurate
in details and shape to the Doniger pattern. We were able to get patterns from four originals, and feel our version of the Doniger is
a superb example compared with their iconic A-2 creation.
The jacket is modeled by John's 13-year-old son, who is 115 pounds and 6 feet tall. It's a little big on him width-wise, so someone
with a similar build but with a wider chest would wear this particular jacket well. We have numbers below for a potential excellent fit.
The leather just above the waistband is 19.5" if pressed flat, across the waistband. Originals of this size would be a bit wider.
The jacket is made with chrome-tanned russet goatskin, which is soft and extremely comfortable, and which will show superb aging as
it gets used more and more. The lining is a dense cotton fabric of correct weight from our new source, and the knits are also our
new mid-brown, which are so well made. The zipper is a reproduction Talon with a vintage slider, and the bottom stopper is vintage, too.
The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'7" to 5'9", with a chest of 37" to 39", and a weight of about 140-150 pounds.
