This jacket is one of our Combat Clone formats of the iconic A-2 jacket. We build these to look like new but period production A-2s, rather than the more perfectly sewn modern reproductions. This jacket is an exact copy of an Aero W535-AC-21996 contract A-2, and all the details are as an original would be. The leather has superb grain througout, and is tanned by American tannery Horween Leather. This seal brown horsehide looks more like vintage horsehide than just about anything we've ever seen.

The sewing is imperfect, as so many originals are (actually, this jacket isn't anywhere near as poorly sewn as most A-2s). Though some people don't like the idea of a Combat Clone, those who have received these jackets by us have been very happy with the purchase John made this jacket, and it's a test of the Horween leather (we have more of this coming in soon). Note the rare and fun original United Carr snaps applied to the collar and pocket. These are from WWII, and are identical to what Aero would have used in their last three A-2 contracts.

The patch is a WWII-era transport patch, and the name tag can be removed and replaced, if desired. There is a good source for name tags that would be ready in about 3-4 days.

This jacket has about three hours of light use, so it's not new, but very close to new condition.

This jacket will ideally fit a person who is 5'11" to 6'2", with a chest circumference of 42-44", and weight of 185-215 pounds.
