A new project we've created from inspiration from two customers is a 1930s car coat. We've done research in how many were made, and
have come up with our own design. Our car coat isn't an exact copy of any one original, but what we think is a fun design
which would be something we would build in the 1930s, had we been working then.

This jacket is made with Horween horsehide, which is 1mm thick, but dense and a bit stiff. It has a slight squeak. The coloring is
wax-aniline, and over time, high points will fade to a ligther shade. It's near black, but in sunlight, definitely a brown shade.
The lining is an amazing dense Japan-source cotton plaid, and we love this fabric. We've buffered the lower hem with fusing to
ensure the lining stays flat along the leather joint. The lining sleeves are corduroy, and the lining sleeve ends are horsehide.

This jacket has real horn 7/8" buttons, and they're easy to operate on the front closure. The pockets are lined with heavy
cotton twill, always double-stitched so that they won't lose integrity with regular use. The label we chose is one we've hade
reproduced from an original S. H. Knopf (Boston, MA) jacket of the 1930s. We love this design.

This is our first test jacket, and we love how it came out. There will be some small design alterations on the next jackets we
make for customers, but it's very close to the finished design. The design is a bit form-fitting, so when donning the jacket,
one must have arms back a bit, but it looks so cool when worn.

The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest of 41" to 42.5", and a weight of about 180-205 pounds. The jacket is shown
with a wearer who is 6 feet tall with a 41" chest, and a weight of 178 pounds.
