This jacket is a test model for a new Acme pattern. We took apart an original in rough condition, and this is how our pattern looks. The design is very common-sense, and quite comfortable in the right size. The jacket has all the typical Aero features, including the proper mustard cotton lining, red knits, and light OD green thread. Originals of this contract often had the "R" size tags used, which were meant for the Aero AAF sheepskin contracts.

Also, there were many original Aero 18775-P jackets that had Conmar zippers, which is why we used this on the test model. We anticipate a shipment of similar reproduction zippers with both vintage and reproduction Conmar sliders to arrive soon.

The cowhide is heavy and dense, but still comfortable. The jacket was worn about 7-8 times under very light conditions, so there is minimal wear to the leather. The grain will only get more pronounced as the jacket is worn, and the finish will show some scratches, but they can be buffed out wih this style of aniline finish.
