This jacket is a return. The jacket has a sharp and athletic look, with a slightly more slender chest fitting than a typical size 42. The jacket is in new condition, and has new components which we've gotten. The customer will receive a jacket with slightly longer sleeves as a replacement.

The leather is Italian veg-tanned horsehide with a seal brown finish. Over time, the high points will fade to a slightly lighter shade of brown, which looks beautiful. The lining is one of our new cotton fabrics from a superb source, and the knits are also from our new source. The zipper is a reproduction Talon fitted with a vintage NOS Talon slider and bottom stopper.

The snaps are originals made in 1943 by United-Carr, brass with nickel plating, identical to those used by Knopf in their A-2 contract.

We have a new knit maker, and this is one of a shipment of mid-brown we had made. The wool is custom-dyed to mid-brown, and the strength, weave, and solidness of these knits is spectacular. No other knit which we've used is as good as these are.

The jacket would ideally fit someone in the range of 5'10" to 6'1", with a chest of 39" to 40.5", and a weight of about 150-175 pounds. The lower torso is just a little bit more narrow than how an original would be, and fits typical 32" jeans waist dimensions.
